Mt. Washington Auto Road Co. is seeking a year-round, part-time Custodian to work early mornings or evenings. We’re looking for dependable, motivated individuals with a strong work ethic who are available to work Mondays and Tuesdays.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Keeps building and property in clean and orderly condition
• Performs routine maintenance activities
• Sweeps, mops, scrubs, or vacuums floors.
• Gathers and empties trash.
• Scrubs, sanitizes, and supplies restroom facilities.
• Dusts furniture, walls, and equipment.
• Shampoos or steam-cleans carpets and rugs
• Maintains a neat and orderly janitors’ room; ensures cleaning and maintenance supplies are stocked.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Knowledge of safety hazards and proper use of various cleaning and sanitizing solutions.
• Detail-oriented and thorough.
• Experience with using cleaning equipment, including vacuum cleaners, floor buffers, and cleaning solutions.
• Ability to interact with staff, and visitors at the Company while remaining professional, polite, and courteous.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods standing
• Must be able to lift, bend, stoop, climb, reach and lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
