The Marketing Manager supports a comprehensive marketing strategy and promotional calendar for the Mt. Washington Auto Road (MWAR) and Great Glen Trails Outdoor Center (GGT). The Marketing Manager helps with creative content and on-brand designs that advance this strategy through digital, print, radio, and analog channels for internal and external communications. Strong candidates will have excellent writing and editing skills, experience with Google and Adobe Creative Suite, wordpress website content management, and social media brand management.
OVERVIEW
Know and understand the mission statement and values for each attraction
Support all marketing tactics for each attraction
Administer social media channels for each attraction
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
Internal Communications:
Gather manager information, create copy & draft Notch News (internal digital newsletter)
Create in-house flyers and posters (Guided Tour offerings, Season Passes, store sales, etc)
Create on-property signage
Work with The Glen House team to cross promote the campus experience
External Communications:
Write copy and create content for Snow Report (winter)
Write copy for email communications
Support logistics for media visits and familiarization (FAM) tours
Assist with Lodging Partner Program (design marketing materials and vouchers)
Assist with seasonal media kits to send to partners
Outreach to News Channels, Reporters, journalists, influencers
Press Releases following major events
Photography / Videography:
With the marketing strategy and promotional calendar in mind, takes (or collects from other staff) photos and videos regularly (min 2 x per week) per attraction for social media
Creates reels or short edited videos for social media channels
Supports photo / video shoots to create fresh and on-brand content for each attraction
Manage and maintain photo archive
Take photos during events and create online photo galleries and/or movies following events
Website:
Assist with website edits (wordpress)
Reviews MWAR and GGT descriptions on partner websites; sends edits as necessary (i.e. Chambers of Commerce, SkiNH, Visit NH)
Analog Advertising:
Support the design process for print media
Follow up with brochure distributors for restocking and help with distribution analysis
Media Advertising:
Record seasonal radio spots for program and event promotions
Create radio “talk-up” sheets to send to radio partners with special events and info
Digital Advertising:
Develop and create content for all social media channels (Facebook & Instagram) that follows the marketing strategy and promotional calendar
Draft and schedule regular social media posts according to this calendar
Set social media goals and strategies with external digital agency
Gather monthly insights from digital campaigns and content to inform changes and future planning (ie budget on digital marketing spends)
MWAR App:
Keep app up to date for downloads on iPhone or Android device
Signature Races:
Support social media day-of presence at signature events
Create banners and on-property signage as needed for these events

Community Events:
Support the following MWAR and GGT community events and series
Responsible for adding these events to social media channels (facebook events)
Populate Community & Chamber calendars with Seasonal Event Info
Share Mailchimp campaigns for event registration & community reminders. Sample of events:

Women’s Winter Escape
Demo Day(s)
MW OTTO Rhode (Granite Backcountry Alliance)
Snow Sculptures (Jackson Chamber)
Spring Trail Run / Walk Series

Big Day Brewing 24 Hours of Great Glen (mountain bike race)
Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS
Passion for outdoor recreation (nordic skiing, mountain biking, or trail running, etc.)
Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) or equivalent, one to two years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
Acute attention to detail
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills; able to manage priorities and workflow
Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
Demonstrated ability to plan and organize projects
Ability to work on complex projects with general direction and minimal guidance
Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines
Ability to effectively communicate with people at all levels and from various backgrounds
Professional appearance and demeanor
Creative, flexible, and innovative team player
Clear understanding of print, digital and event marketing and advertising
Proficient media content creator (copy, photos, and videos)
Experience with email software
Experience maintaining and analyzing data from social media channels
Experience managing website content is a plus
